                           Butterscotch Brownies

    1      6-oz-pkg.     Nestles butterscotch morsels
      1/2  cup           butter
    1      cup           light brown sugar
    2      large         eggs
      1/2  teaspoon      vanilla
    1      cup           sifted flour
    1      teaspoon      baking powder
      3/4  teaspoon      salt
      1/2  cup           chopped nuts
 
 Preheat oven to 350*. Melt butterscotch morsels and butter over hot (not boiling
 ) water.
 Remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar. Cool 5 minutes.
 Stir in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
 Stir in chopped nuts. Spread in greased 13x9x2-inch pan.
 Bake at 350*F. for 25 minutes. Cut into 2-inch squares while warm.
  Yield: 2 dozen.
