* Exported from MasterCook II * Hot and Spicy Black-eyed Peas Recipe By : Stephanie Dean Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :1.00 Categories : Cajun Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 16 oz. blackeyed peas -- drained 3 Slices bacon -- cooked 1 cup onion -- chopped 16 ounces tomatoes -- (1 can) 1 large pepper -- chopped 1 clove garlic -- chopped fine 1 teaspoon cumin 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon curry powder 1/2 teaspoon cayenne 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1. Cook bacon slices until crisp. 2. Using large frypan, or electric frypan, combine remaining ingredients and heat to a low boil. Turn back heat and simmer for 30 minutes.3.
